Flyff
Flyff is a 3D MMORPG developed by a Korean company called Aeonsoft. Flyff is short for Fly for Fun. The main difference between Flyff and other 3D MMORPGs is the flying system. Flyff puts a lot of emphasis on group work. No character can do everything by itself. A lord system allows characters to vote a lord to rule each server for 2 week periods. There are grouping and guild systems which allow and encourage cooperation among characters. According to Aeonsoft, there are 5 million people already playing to join. There are four classes to choose from which split into 2 complementary classes at level 60. All servers allow PvP combat in an arena setting. However, if you play the Demian server you can fight your peers with great consequences whenever you would like. Flyff allows you to raise one of 7 different pets to help you gain advantages. Another feature allows players to own private shops for extra cash. Flyff is a great 3D MMORPG with beautiful scenery and graphics and plenty of features to keep you entertained. The best part is the whole game is free. You just have to download a client to play through.

Tales of Pirates
Tales of Pirates is a 3D massively multi player online game based on 5,000 years of pirates. Develop your character among wondrous cities, beautiful landscapes, and on the high seas. There are hundreds of quests to complete. You will start your character on land where you fight and complete quests to gain strength. After gaining a few levels, you can build your ship and begin your career as a pirate. There are several skills and classes to choose from to allow you to decide how your character will succeed. There are plenty of other pirates to befriend in your career. Once you reach level 20, you can join one of the several guilds on Tales of Pirates. You can also gain a pet through quests or other players which help your character gain stat bonuses. This game will certainly have something for everyone. There is plenty to do, and you won't get bored playing. In order to play, you must download a client. The download is completely free (just like the game). It takes about 3 minutes for a 3MB cable connection or 128 minutes for a 56k modem. The fun of Tales of Pirates is definitely worth the download.

There are no downloads. You play straight from your web browser. Legend throws you into an eternal battle between the Human race and the Magmar race. Evony
Evony is a browser-based medieval war and city building game. It is by far the best in its genre that I have come across. You can view one of your cities (where you build baracks, cottages, etc.), your city surroundings (where you upgrade resource fields, or the main map (where you can find NPC's or real people to attack). You start as a simple player with one city. As you gain title and medals from attacking and expanding, you can start to build more cities. Eventually, you can have up to 10 cities in your empire. There is a very helpful quest mode to teach you the basics of the game. There is also an in-game chat session where you can ask questions in the newbie chat or discuss strategy within your alliance chat. Alliances can grow to 100 people deep so war can be very fun if your alliance is helpful. There is a forums area where you can read guides or post smack talk. This game will keep you entertained for hours a day or you can play it for 15 minutes a day. How much you want to play is your choice. The game is free to play, but you can buy game coins for a slight advantage. One of the cool features of Evony is they give you a spin on a "prize wheel" every day where you can win some of the features that can also be bought. This helps to even the playing field between free members and paying members. You can be a force without paying a dime. There is a good defense system which allows you to build up your walls just like castles in the Medieval times. It is very possible to defend yourself against large attacks unlike other games. If you enjoy building up cities to use for war, this is the game for you. You will not be disappointed.

Cent Poker
Cent Poker is run by the same people as Cent Sports. They are run on very similar concepts. Cent Poker gives you 100 poker chips to sit down and play 1/5 no limit hold-em. Turn your 100 chips into thousands and you can claim your share of the advertising cash. Cent Poker tells you what percentage of the chips you hold, and how that relates to the advertising money. They show you exactly how much incoming cash the site gains from advertisers, so you know how many chips you need to reach the 10 dollar cash out limit. Once your percentage of chips is worth more than 10 dollars, you just send them a message and they send you a check. It is as simple as that. If you lose your chips, they give you another 100 to start off with. They run tables with different blinds as well as sit and go single table tournaments. This is a great way to play poker for free. Maybe you will even work your way up into some serious cash.

Gladiatus
Gladiatus is an addicting gladiator game which places you against thousands of others over the Internet. The point of the game is to simply build your gladiator character up to be the most powerful gladiator in the world. To prove your strength, you can challenge a gladiator up to 4 spots in front of you in the arena. Beat a stronger gladiator and move up until you reach the number one spot. There are several ways your gladiator can become more powerful. Besides fighting other players in the arena, your gladiator can go on quests, explore several areas such as an ancient temple or a wolf den, fight his way through dungeons, train attributes for battle, or work to gain some more gold. Each task will pay you gold as well as give you experience to move up in levels. You can use the gold you earn to buy weapons, armor, food, potions, or some time in training. Training allows you to build up your gladiator's basic statistics. Gladiatus is time based meaning you can only do so much in a certain amount of time. That way you can play for a few hours straight and let your character rest over night, or you can log on several times throughout the day. This game is a lot of fun and can be very addictive. Besides, who doesn't like slaying others in a simple fight to the death?

Pirates Online
Pirates Online is a fun massively multi-player game which was designed by Disney. The story line follows the Pirates of the Caribbean movies and adds a little more. You design your pirate and go out into the huge world to make your name known. You can sink ships, board enemy ships, fight enemies on land, finish quests, and fight other pirates. It is easy to get started. You just download the software and open a free account. The catch is to unlock all of the features you have to upgrade to the premium account which is about $5 a month. This free version is great for a few lazy afternoons. You can still join a crew or guild and help other pirates defeat the enemies. There are enough quests and adventures to have a good time for several hours and then you can decide if you want to buy the premium account or just delete the software. I didn't buy it just because I don't have the time, but it is up to you. You will have a good time playing this game either way.

Ikariam
Ikariam is a browser-based, real time strategy game. You start out with a plot of land, 40 people, and a little bit of building supply. The point of the game is to turn your plot of land into an multi-island empire. There are four basic types of islands which you can start at. Each has a different resource as well as wood which can be used for building supplies. These different resources and wood are required to build and expand your city buildings. Eventually you can build a palace which allows you to expand to other islands. You can have up to 10 cities assuming your palace is big enough. Your population will also grow according to how happy your citizens are. These citizens can be used to create wealth, mine your resource, or chop trees for wood. You can also build your army and city defenses. Upgrade your barracks to raise an army for defense or to conquer the entire island. Each city is run by real people which you can trade with and enter alliances with. Contact the people on your islands and decide if you want to form a powerful island alliance or if you just take over your island. You also have to hire scientists to research new technologies for you to take advantage of. Make sure you upgrade your academy so you can stay smarter than the others on your island. The possibilities are endless. The game runs continuously so you can always be working towards your next move. This game will have you addicted quickly and keep you entertained for hours. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I have.

Pogo
Pogo is a web site designed to let you play free games with the chance of winning prizes. The chances of winning prizes on Pogo are slim, but the games are very good. Personally, I only play on Pogo for the games. There are several to choose from and many allow you to compete against other members. Even the games you play on your own allow you to talk to others in the game lobby. Each game has several lobbies to choose from so you can choose the peers you play with. My favorite game is the bowling game, but I play 5-10 different games there. The site is completely free. They allow you to upgrade to Pogo Plus for 40 dollars a year which gives you more games, less ads, and a few other upgrades. There is no real need to upgrade though unless you spend a lot of time on the site. Every game allows you to win points which can be put into prize pools for prize drawings. Several games also have instant win jackpots which you can win. Like I said earlier, the prizes aren't easy to win. The upside to that is most prizes are pretty high (up to $5000). I'm sure you will enjoy the games. You can easily kill a few hours at the office on Pogo.
